Shelby House is a 3 bedroom, one bath ranch home that has been uniquely furnished and decorated with your comfort in mind.  Each of the 3 private bedrooms has a comfortable queen sized bed with home-style bed linens.  The full sized kitchen is complete with a toaster, microwave, coffeemaker and all of the necessities to eat in, if you prefer.  Central air-conditioning, gas fireplace, cable television on a new flat screen, wireless internet and front loading washer and dryer add to the amenity package.

Bed linens and towels are provided.  Starter supplies like paper towels, soap and TP are also stocked.  Our homes are professionally cleaned and maintained and will be ready when you arrive.  You will be provided with the lock box combination with your reservation confirmation along the home’s address and other vital information.

Out the back door, on the flagstone patio is a charcoal grill.  There is casual dining for 4 in the screened porch.

The shiny hardwood floors make it possible for us to allow pets.  There is even a doggie door out to the grass in the fenced backyard.

There is off street parking for at least 2 cars in the driveway.

Shelby House is located in the historic district of Lockeland Springs.  This is a residential neighborhood.  The house immediately to right is a proud Victorian.  On the left side, a classic bungalow has been restored to its former glory.  Shelby House is a mid-century brick ranch.

Within walking distance is the Shelby Bottoms Greenway and Nature Park.  It is one of the true jewels of Metro’s Park and Greenway system.  This 810 acre park offers 5 miles of paved multi-use trails and another 5 miles of primitive hiking trails. Along the trails, visitors can enjoy boardwalks, scenic overlooks, interpretive stations and seven rustic bridges. The area is well known as a haven for migrating birds and other wildlife and a new nature center is under development to be located near the railroad trestle trailhead at Shelby Bottoms.
